Due to the great success of the Annual Boxers and Bikers Poker Run, we are having our 4th Annual "Boxers and Bikers" Poker Run on June 15th. Registration will start at J & L Harley in Sioux Falls, SD.
Anyone who is interested in participating in this charitable event to help Northern Plains Boxer Recue continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome boxers in need, please register here. Registration fee is $20 a person. The first 60 people to register will receive a free "doggie" gift bag at the registration booth on June 15th. Call 605-366-3105 for more details.
Add a tshirt to your registration for an additional $15.00. Indicate on the registration form how many shirts and size(s).
Just incase you didn't know: A poker run is an organized event where participants visit several "sniff trail" checkpoints (stops along a predetermined route). At each checkpoint, you have your poker hand card marked. Then at the end of the run if all your stops are marked, you get to draw cards. If you have the best poker hand you can win great prizes.This year our top prize is $500 cash + $100 bar tab!
Poker hands will be drawn at 5 PM at the Sky Lounge in Tea, SD, prizes are awarded at 6 PM. If you attended last year, you know the prizes were GREAT.
There are many ways to help NPBR live out our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome boxers in need. If you would like to help beyond the Poker Run, there are several options. NPBR is always in need of excellent foster homes as all of our boxers are in loving homes prior to adoption. Foster homes help boxers adjust and become prepared for a forever home. NPBR is also in need of dog beds, dog treats, high quality dog food, toys, etc. If you are interested in volunteering or donating contact npbr@everyboxercounts.com.
If you don't have a motorcycle, don't worry! All forms of transportation are welcome. In previous years, in addition to the motorcycles we also had a jeep and a limo. So come on out and join in the fun no matter what wheels you have! To register for the Poker Run, please click here.
